Steaming Acrylic Yarn

I read everywhere that you should block work you want to flatten, but this doesn't work with acrylic yarn.
I have to say that you CAN block acrylic yarn, but you need to steam it.
I borrowed my sister-in-laws iron that had a steam mist function. Where it would spritz out steam. This way I didn't have to press down on the sensitive yarn, but still iron it. It worked amazingly.
